Joan works as a cartographer for the United States Department of Agriculture in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is married to fellow miniature artist and this site’s co-editor Barry Biediger. She studied Art at the University of Utah with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Joan also enjoys a number of other creative pursuits including paper quilling, watercolor painting, and woodcut printing.
