The Homecoming
Jack displayed an impressive and largely scratchbuilt boxed diorama portraying a soldier coming home at the MFCA show in 2013. Since then, he’s been reworking some of the figures, and you can see those below in addition to a look at the original diorama (photo by Nick Infield) followed by the reworked version. Of recrafting the homecoming scene, Jack writes: “After watching the video you did in Chicago, ‘Fostering creativity in the hobby,’ I feel it will make the story more convincing by creating a sense of ‘anticipation’ by having the mother and child waiting on the platform (the moment before the event). I also think it will help the overall composition of the scene.”
